Day 1

HELANG – DEVGAON – KALPESHWAR – DEVGAON
Distance : 10 km
Time       : 4 – 5 hours
Level      : Easy

Early morning start trek to Kalpeshwar. At Helang (1,500m), cross the Alaknanda via a road bridge, on a path, a metalled track will snake its way along its feeder, the Kalpganga. The forest yields to an idyllic sight of flowers, fruit trees and terraced fields, and a concrete arch proclaiming that you will be arriving at Urgam. Night stay at Devgaon (2,500m) or for camping , take the gentle path towards Kalpeshwar (2,500m), where you will find ideal sites just above the river, within hailing distance of the temple.
Day 2

DEVGAON – DUMAK
Distance : 12 km
Time       : 6 – 8 hours
Level      : Moderately Difficult

Start Trekking to Dumuk (2,500m) from Devgaon.

Day 3

DUMAK – PANAR
Distance : 12 km
Time       : 6 – 8 hours
Level       : Difficult

The day begins with an incredibly stony, narrow path plunging down to the river, the Rudraganga, at least 500m below the village. From here, the path snakes around the mountain to your right or north, above the Sharply sloping meadows of Panar (3,800m), to the gufa or cave where pilgrims traditionally found shelter. Night stay at Camp.
This is a great site to orient yourself to the peaks of the Uttaranchal – Bandarpoonch, Trisuli, Nanda Ghungti, Nanda Devi.

Day 4

PANAR – RUDRANATH – PANAR
Distance : 16 km
Time       : 6 - 7 hours
Level      : Easy

After breakfast trek to Rudranath (3,500m).  The ridge to left blocks the western aspect, but to the north and east, the Bandarpoonch Range towers some 3,000m above, while the valleys are a dark maw some 2,000m deep.
Return to the same way to camp at Panar for the night.

Day 5

PANAR – SAGAR
Distance : 12 km
Time       : 4 – 5 hours
Level       : Moderate

Early morning start trek back to Sagar. Sagar (2,000m) is almost always in view, but it seems tantalizingly elusive. We will return to civilization.
