Manali - Leh Jeep/Motorcycle Safari Tours in Ladakh

Day 1

DelhiChandigarh – Manali ………( 575 Km )

Early morning departure to Manali from Delhi. Overnight stay in Hotel at Manali.

 

Day 2

Manali – Keylong .......... (115 km)

Early morning drive to Keylong (3,350m). From Manali the path leads to Rohtang Pass (3,980m) – “Gateway to Twin valleys of Lahaul and Spiti”,  is through villages …. Gramphoo village , Khoksar (3,140m), Sissu (3,120m), Gondhla (3,160 m) and finally Tandi. Overnight stay in camp at Keylong.

 

Day 3

Keylong – Jispa  ---- Sarchu ..........(114 km)

Drive to Sarchu (4,253m) from Keylong. From Keylong the next prominent village is Gemur, famous for an ancient Buddha Gompa and further 7 km ahead is village Jispa, where the Regional Center of the Mountaineering Institute, Manali is Located. Jispa to Baralacha Pass (4,891m) is 45 km. and in between are located villages Dharcha (3,320m) and Patseo (3,820m). Zingzingbar ( 4270 m ) is another small pass enroute and is located a little short of Baralacha pass . Enroute not to be missed is a glacial lake called Suraj tal ( 4802 m ) , the source of river Bhaga and is a famous camping site for trekkers, mountaineers, adventurers . Overnight in Camp at Sarchu plains ( 4253 m ) at a distance of 32 Km from Baralacha pass .

 

Day 4

Sarchu – Leh ...........(245 km)

 Early morning drive to onwards journey to Leh through different high altitude passes over rugged terrain and vast plain a cold desert is recommended. On the way are Nakila Pass (4,740m), Lachug Langla Pass (5,010m) and the highest Tanglangla Pass (5,360m) on this entire journey between Manali and Leh. The path leads to Rumtse village, Upshi village, Karu and Thikste (famous for Buddhist Monastery). From Karu, world renowned Hemis Monastery, famous for the largest contingent of monks of yellow hats sect in Ladakh is just 12 km away. Overnight stay in hotel at Leh.

 

Day 5 & 6

Leh – Delhi

Early morning leave to Delhi from Leh VIA Manali .
